The purpose of development was to make it as close as possible to "ability to identify gradation" of human eyes. That is HDR (High Dynamic Range) technology. "REIRODORU Fabric Model HF 102" achieved a contrast ratio of 10 times of conventional diffusion type pure mat III Cinema. In addition to suppressing hot spots, it also features reflection type and regression type aside from diffusion type. It is the fourth screen adapting HDR compatible projectors, HDR screen of wide gradation type.

Main features of HDR screen HF 102

Screen that makes full use of the wide gradation of HDR compatible projector.
High gain (brightness) screen with gain of 2.7.
Surface finish with extremely low hot spots.
A wide viewing angle is provided in the condition of off center position.
The screen that inheriting the tradition of Pure Mat III Cinema screen.




It diffuses in all directions with respect to the incident light, so it has the widest viewing angle and is the most highly used screen that allows you to see the same image from anywhere in the room. However, since harmful light (*2) also diffuses, it is required a dark room and high power projector as the gradation expression is natural. It recommends using the contents with emphasis on image expression especially.

Pure Mat series

Pure mat is simultaneously woven double structure of polyester of different weave in front and back. The surface is a random knitting method, which prevents regular pixel interference of the projector and makes it possible to reproduce natural images strongly against moire (interference fringes).

"Pure Mat III" was born as a projection screen suitable for the high-definition era of 4K / 8K, has received high evaluation from a wonderful matching with a 4K projector, and has gained the support of so many home theater fans.
However, it is a very delicate screen surface, so it was limited to only stretch screen. Pure Mat III Cinema is the one that evolved such "Pure Mat III" and made it possible to take up electric winding.
For further enhancement the expressiveness of the detail of the 4K image and making the image more realistic, we strengthened the durability of the fabric in order to stand to roll up structure of "Pure Mat III" without changing the structure of fine special double fabric.
"Pure Mat III Cinema" diffuses the image evenly, and achieved to maintain the gain 1.0 which is the ideal value of the diffusion type white mat.
"Pure Mat III Cinema" is a culmination of screens for home theaters presented to movie fans.

Originated in 2000, OS’s "Pure Mat" started with the original Pure Mat 101 which weaves two types of fabrics with different irregular weave and weave at the same time with a special technique, and in conjunction with the evolution of the projector we have repeatedly made improvements.
Pure Mat 204 is a full HD compatible pure matte screen redeveloped for those who are considering introducing a full HD projector to the home theater from now on.

Sound Screen

The sound screen is the screen adopted in the movie theater. It is a sound development screen that puts the speaker on the back of the screen, is developed on the premise that the sound comes out through the screen, and just like a sound comes out from the image.

Excellent high-frequency range sound will be provided by the characteristics of diffusive screen and acoustic transparency.


"Sound mat" is a type of sound screen that allows sound to pass through between stitches by weaving the special fiber as knitting. For that reason, it has superior acoustic transmittivity characteristics in the high frequency range as compared with the type of fabric with holes.
Light usually passes through the mesh of the screen, and reflected light from the walls and speakers at the rear of the screen cause uneven brightness. However, by applying a special back coating, SOUNDMAT reduces the influence on the screen surface by blocking the reflection of light.
The screen surface on the viewers side has a special type of surface coating, and it has a diffusion type characteristic that reproduces uniform and natural images irrespective of the viewer's position.

The optical characteristics of road signs are this type of screen. Light returns reflected light in the projected direction. That's why it is easier for drivers to see the signs with their headlight. It is a screen which the property of returning light (regression) just like a road sign. Since the light is converged, the screen gain (*1) becomes as bright as 1.5-3.
Viewing in the vicinity of the projector is a way of using this screen's performance.
However, please be aware that it will be darker than the diffuser type if it’s used the angle of more than 20 to 30 degrees to the left and right from the projector optical axis. This name from the manufacturing process, because it using fine beads in microns. Another advantage of this screen is that the stray light (*2) is likewise attributed to the direction of the light, so the influence on the viewer to the image will be reduced.



It becomes this type when a cloudy mirror is made into a screen. The reason for being said to be reflective is that it reflects to the opposite side of the direction of the projected light as light reflects on the mirror. To be called pearl, it was taken from the name of pearl pigment applied on the screen surface. When the projector and viewer are in the same angle between the incident angle and the reflection angle, selection of this screen is effective. However, due to the difficulty of maintaining flatness and the improvement of the performance of the projector, it has been rarely selected in recent years.



This screen falls within the category of reflective type, but the screen gain (the bottom stage *1) has a large gain of 3 or more, and it is used mainly as a 3D screen because the viewing angle is extremely narrow. It is a screen suitable for maintaining the polarization state of the two projectors for the right and left eyes of 3D video.
So far, I explained it in several types, let's select and decide the type according to the projection environment and conditions where the screen is used. OS screens are prepared for seven kinds of diffusive type alone, and we devised to make it possible to select better screen fabrics by screen size, budget, projected images, etc.
